About Me

When I look at the world I am pessimistic, but when I look at people I am optimistic - Carl Rogers

I am a humanistic integrative counsellor dedicated to building warm, growth-focused relationships with my clients. My practice is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves a safe, non-judgmental space to explore their unique story.

With over 1,000 hours of clinical experience, I have worked across a diverse range of settings, including the arts, the probation service, and the charity sector. Currently, I am an addictions counsellor and group facilitator for The Forward Trust, where I lead therapeutic recovery workshops and provide 1-to-1 therapy.

I hold a BA (Hons) in Counselling from the University of East Anglia (First Class Honours). My approach is integrative, meaning I draw on various therapeutic tools to meet your specific needs. While I work with a broad range of experiences, I have particular proficiency in:

Bereavement & Loss: When the world expects you to "move on," I provide the space to stay with the loss. Together, we’ll untangle the complex emotions—guilt, anger, or numbness—that often follow a death, helping you find a way find a way forward that honours what you’ve lost.

Addiction: We look beyond the behaviour to the person underneath, developing practical tools to manage triggers while healing the core shame that keeps the cycle spinning.

LGBTQ+-affirmative counselling: You won’t have to explain the basics of your identity or "translate" your life to me. As a proud member of the community, I offer a space where your lived experience  is met with deep professional insight and genuine, first-hand understanding.

As a Registered Member of the BACP, I abide by their ethical framework and attend regular clinical supervision. Through refreshing my skills with CPD and training, I ensure that I’m giving you the best support possible. I also hold an enhanced DBS certificate.
